The Deputy Police Chief oversees all daily operations of the Police Department, on behalf of the Police Chief. This Section is responsible for the logistical planning, coordinating, and deployment of Police personnel and resources.  Operations is a behind the scenes, yet vital component to the overall functioning of a Police agency.  In this position, equipment is evaluated for appropriate use, budgeted, and subsequently placed into service to benefit the community and the agency.  Fiscal responsibility, and knowledge of municipal budgeting requirements are essential to this Section.  In addition, Operations oversees special event planning, such as parades, fireworks, marathons; and other large scale events.  Off-Duty employment requests for Police Officers also filter through this Division for evaluation and approval or denial.
