Mary has been with Indian Shores since August 2005 coming here from Indian Rocks Beach where she was the Director of Finance and Personnel for 11 years. Mary moved to Florida with her family in December 1994 from Massachusetts where she had previous municipal experience along with working for 8 years in the Government Banking Department of Shawmut Bank (Fleet).

Mary is a widow with three grown children. Frank, her oldest, works for Boeing in Seattle, Washington and is married with two children and two grand-children which makes Mary a great-grandmother, twice over. Annmarie, her daughter, is married and recently moved back to Massachusetts from Florida to take a position as Assistant Director of LEO, Inc., a social services non-profit agency in Lynn, Massachusetts. Mary’s youngest son Michael graduated from USF with a Bachelors Degree in Criminal Justice and Leadership Studies and is a St. Petersburg Police Officer.

As the Director of Finance and Personnel Mary works in many different areas. Daily oversight of cash and investments along with the monitoring of internal controls are just a few of her duties. Mary oversees the daily collection and expenditure of all town funds and provides financial project management for capital projects. Human Resource duties include administering the personnel policies, negotiating and providing recommendations on employee benefits and oversight of the employee payroll system.

Mary has been active in the Florida Government Finance Officers Association (FGFOA) since coming to Florida and most recently was the President of the Gulfcoast Chapter of the FGFOA.
