OFFICIAL RESULTS - Municipal Election 2025

The Indian Shores Municipal Election held on March 11, 2025, featured three candidates on the ballot who ran to fill two Council Member seats for a 3-year term (March 2025 - March March 2028): Robert E. "Bo" Bauman and incumbents Mark Housman and Nicholas J. Menchise. The published official results declared incumbents Housman and Menchise receiving the highest number of votes, securing their re-election and continuing their service on the Town Council.

Qualification Requirements

To qualify is a candidate for the two Council Member seats up for election in March 10, 2026: 

Individuals seeking to qualify for a Council Member seat must be permanent residents of the Town and have been registered electors of the Town for at least one (1) year. All required documents, as outlined in the electoral guidelines and listed below, must be submitted to the Town Clerk's office during the candidate qualifying period. The qualifying period begins at 12:00 P.M. on Friday, December 5, 2025, and ends at 12:00 P.M. on Friday, December 12, 2025.

 

  1. Appointment of Campaign Treasurer and Designation of Campaign Depository for Candidates. (An election packet will be provided after submission of this form.)
  2. Financial Disclosure (Must be filed electronically. Click Electronic Financial Disclosure Management System to register. For filing instructions click Current Forms and Filing Information.)
  3. Loyalty Oath
  4. Potential candidates must submit (a tentative) thirty-seven (37) candidate petition Cards. The number of cards are determined annually and are based on 3% of the total number of registered voters within Precinct 419 published on the November 30 (year preceding the upcoming election year) statistics report. Each card must be signed by a qualified elector and resident of the Town.

Each individual seeking to qualify as a candidate for the Municipal Election must pay a filing fee and a an assessment (equal to 1% of the annual salary for the office they are running for).


The total qualifying fee must be paid by check, from the potential candidate's campaign account, made payable to the Town of Indian Shores General Fund and submitted to the Town Clerk at:
