Beach Communities Still Severely Undercounted in Census. What’s at stake: political representation and billions in federal dollars for local programs over the next 10 years. Those dollars go to health care, education, roads and other vital services.

Pinellas County residents only have a few weeks left to be counted in the 2020 Census, and our beach communities are still severely undercounted. What’s at stake: political representation and billions in federal dollars for local programs over the next 10 years. Those dollars go to health care, education, roads and other vital services.

Even if you’re a seasonal beach resident, you can still help this community get counted by completing the census for your second home and filling it out as "0" inhabitants. This will help save hundreds of hours by allowing census workers to visit the areas where they’re actually needed. Remember: Census responses are secure, confidential and protected by law, and the survey only asks a few basic questions about your household.

Take the census today at My2020Census.gov or by calling 844-330-2020. Let’s #MakePinellasCount!
