Book cover of The Things We Keep

The library staff is hosting a Read & Feed event featuring Sally Hepworth's The Things We Keep. A 39 year old woman with early onset Alzheimer's commits herself to an assisted living facility. While most of the residents are elderly, she falls in love with another younger patient. An employee risks the job she desperately needs to help them and on the way finds love herself. Their stories make for an engrossing novel that should spark discussion. Afterwards, a dinner inspired by the novel will be served.
