Our History
The Indian Shores Police Department was established July 24, 1964, by resolution. Since being established, the Indian Shores Police Department has been the contracted Law Enforcement provider for Redington Shores, our neighbor city just south of our boundary. Working in collaboration with Indian Shores and Redington Shores, the Indian Shores Police Department provides modern, fair, and professional policing to its citizens, visitors, and peers.
The Indian Shores Police Department is comprised of men and women from a variety of backgrounds; all with the common goal of Protecting with Honor and Serving with Pride. The Community Policing concept is a natural component of our Police Department, and most of the Officers are known around Town by first name. We encourage you to look through the website to be familiar with your Police Department; and feel free to reach out to us whenever we can be of assistance. On behalf of the Indian Shores Police Department, Thank You for letting us serve you.
