This program temporarily converts chloramine to chlorine disinfection. It is routine maintenance that is designed to reduce the potential for coliform or other types of bacteria from forming in the water delivery system.
This change will affect all Pinellas County Utilities water customers. Customers may notice a slight difference in taste and/or odor due to the temporary conversion of chloramine to chlorine disinfection. Customers will not experience low pressure or a disruption of service.
