Exercise caution on the beach.
While our beaches are open to the public, we urge visitors to exercise caution when walking or playing in the sand. The Indian Shores Public Works crew have worked hard to restore the beaches. However, debris from the recent hurricanes may be hidden just beneath the surface and not immediately visible, posing potential hazards. Please note that Indian Shores cannot assume responsibility for any injuries caused by storm debris on the beaches. Additionally, debris removal and sand-hauling trucks and heavy equipment are actively in use along Gulf Boulevard and along the beach. We ask that you keep a safe distance from this equipment to ensure everyone’s safety during the recovery period.
Currently, the beach access points at 196th and 198th Avenues are closed due to storm damage. All other access points are open for public use.
Thank you for your understanding and cooperation as we work to restore our Town and the beach.
